On Wednesday Joy & Confidence presented the 2018 Earth Week Assembly at Magic Years. I think you’ll agree that the students did amazingly well. You can watch the videos of the show below. Thank you to everyone that was able to attend and come in on off-days for rehearsal.
Our final unit is in full swing. After Tuning In with our environment change and new books in the library, we have been in the Finding Out stage for the past week.
Last week was Book Week here at Magic Years and what a busy week it was!
Today we began our Third and final Unit of Inquiry. The year is really flying by!

As we progress through this Unit of Inquiry, we will be exploring natural resources we can find in our area; using natural resources creatively; and learning how to use natural resources appropriately.

We began Tuning In to our unit this morning by reading about planting seeds and growing plants. We will be working closely with our Industrial Arts teachers throughout this unit as well as starting a window garden in the classroom. Stay Tuned!
What an exciting day! Last Friday our class was involved in a number of fun experiences as we celebrated Chinese New Years and had a visit from a Fire Truck.
Throughout our current unit, the students have been demonstrating their prior knowledge and building connections between past and new experiences. One area where this is very evident is in their love of all things related to fires and firefighting. Read More

We have already begun Tuning In to our unit during our Morning Meetings by sharing stories about our weekends and Father’s Day. We have also been sharing our opinions about the books and songs we engage with during Circle Time. Stay tuned for more information!
Last Friday we celebrated Loy Krathong at Magic Years. We had a packed house: thanks to all the friends and family members who came out to help and enjoy the celebrations.
