It was an event years in the making: Magic Years’ move to our new campus. After an extra-long holiday break both teachers and students were excited for school to finally begin in the new custom-built facility.
This week has been one of exploration, learning and application. Although many of the furnishings and equipment are the same, the environment has changed dramatically. The new campus is larger, the playground layout is different, our classroom is larger and located in a single room and our specials classes have changed as well.
With all that being said, the students have adapted with their usual enthusiasm. With a mix of familiar and new learning centres, the students have explored our new classroom and quickly made it their own. This week we have also been working on a project for decorating our new classroom: dyeing cloth. Using fabric dye and some large sheets of fabric, we have created colourful fabric to hang in different areas of the class.
